Thermal conductivity testing of engine coolants and related materials is often cited using the Transient Hot Wire (THW) method following ASTM D7896. Herein we highlight the use of the THW method on C-Therm’s Trident platform for the testing of a range of fluids including distilled water, ethylene glycol and a variety of commercially available engine coolants.
