What a Business Development Manager will do here…

The objective of the business development manager is to contribute towards the continued long-term growth of the company by proactively creating and managing sales opportunities.   

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement the territorial and market strategy plan
  • Responsible primarily for direct sales via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing of potential business
  • Provide internal sales coordination
  • Conduct lead-finding and generate qualified opportunities
  • Conduct professional sales presentations and perform instrument demonstrations
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Manage client relationships through the sales cycle
  • Attend seminars & conferences as required
  • Get involved in specialty industry groups
  • Provide reporting and forecasting as requested
  • Track customer information and details using the CRM/Database system
  • Support the marketing department in reporting on market trends and/or opportunities that can benefit the company
  • Any other related tasks as required

What will make you a perfect candidate…

  • Results-oriented, driven personality
  • Multi-lingual considered a strong asset (Spanish, German, Mandarin, French)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent training with strong technical background; Master’s degree in Business Administration is an asset
  • Strong business acumen – proven experience in business development or client/partner relations
  • Strong technical acumen – possess a natural curiosity and ability to quickly understand technical applications of thermal analysis techniques
  • Professional, articulate and enthusiastic
  • Customer-focused and comfortable interacting with new people and cultures
  • Working knowledge of word processing, desktop publishing, presentation software, database management and spreadsheet applications
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience with SalesForce would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in heat transfer or material characterization (e.g. Thermal Conductivity, DMA, DSC, TGA, TMA, etc.) is an asset
  • Demonstrate leadership in proactively driving the development of business

Marketing & Sales Coordinator (Intern)

Position:  Marketing & Sales Coordinator (Intern)

Location:  Fredericton, NB

C-Therm is searching for a Marketing & Sales Coordinator intern to join the Commercial Team and be involved in the planning, implementation and execution of marketing/communication and business development initiatives. 

C-Therm Technologies Ltd. provides non-destructive thermal sensor technology that analyzes how efficiently materials transfer heat. The technology is used in research and development, production, and quality control applications by clients all over the world, including NASA, the US Navy, Adidas, 3M and Proctor & Gamble.


  • Field initial inquiries (Request for info, quotations)
  • Prospect for and build relationships with new clients/partners
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization
  • Assist in maintaining regular communication with existing distribution channel partners in strengthening relationships
  • Maintain SalesForce CRM in tracking opportunities and updating client contacts
  • Design, illustrate, and produce art and graphic materials using Adobe Creative Suite software and/or traditional graphic methods. Design work produced may include but is not limited to logos, displays, fact sheets, brochures, PowerPoint and web banners
  • Manage design process for print and web publication, ensuring the high-quality and timely completion of design deliverables
  • Consult with internal clients on communication needs and coordinates with related business units on printing and supply needs
  • Ensure compliance with design, brand, legal and/or accessibility standards/requirements, as required
  • Coordinate online marketing efforts (landing pages, webinars)
  • Manage social media and other marketing platforms


  • Current (3rd or 4th year) student or recent graduate of BSc in Commerce, Business Administration (BBA), Science or Engineering
  • Written and Spoken Competency in English; Knowledge of a 2nd language a significant asset
  • Previous business development experience a significant asset
  • Solid time management skills
  • Working knowledge of word processing, desktop publishing, presentation software, database management and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and have the ability to work independently
  • Strong client service orientation, results-oriented, driven personality.
  • Previous experience in graphic design, advertising, or marketing a significant asset (sample work upon request).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, employees, and the general public.
