Helping innovative small and medium-sized enterprises grow their businesses and enter into new markets is critical to enhancing Atlantic Canada’s economic success. Thanks to an investment for two projects totalling $267,500 from the Government of Canada, C-Therm Technologies Ltd. will expand export markets, increase laboratory services and grow sales.
Matt DeCourcey, Member of Parliament for Fredericton, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), made the announcement today while celebrating the Grand Opening of C-Therm’s new facility.
The company is receiving $217,500 through ACOA’s Business Development Program to help expand its international marketing capacity and grow export markets, along with a second investment of $50,000 to support the hiring of a laboratory director. The specialized researcher will assist the company in expanding its existing lab service in order to qualify as a Health Canada approved testing facility.
C-Therm Technologies Ltd. provides non-destructive thermal sensor technology that analyzes how efficiently materials transfer heat. The technology is used in research and development, production and quality control applications by clients all over the world, including NASA, the US Navy, Adidas, 3M and Proctor & Gamble.
This investment builds on the federal and provincial governments’ Atlantic Growth Strategy designed to help Atlantic Canadian entrepreneurs compete internationally, grow their businesses and create jobs at home.
