Thermal Conductivity in Metal Additive Manufacturing – Technical University of Hamburg

Presented by guest speaker Bastian Bossen

In collaboration with the Institute of Laser and Systems technology from the Technical University of Hamburg this webinar will discuss potential use cases for C-Therm’s Modified Transient Plane Source Sensor (MTPS) in Additive Manufacturing processes and materials. Bastian Bossen will be our special guest speaker for this webinar.

Metal Powder Used in Additive Manufacturing, Where Thermal Conductivity Plays an Important Role

Special Guest Speaker Bastian Bossen and Metal Powder Used in Additive Manufacturing, Where Thermal Conductivity Plays an Important Role

It will feature effusivity and heat conductivity measurements of different Ti-6Al-4V feedstocks used in powder bed fusion processes such as PBF-LB. Further, the dependency of typical feedstock quality criteria such as density, particle size distribution and flowability will be discussed to showcase the potential application in quality control in Additive Manufacturing processes. Lastly, initial results of the new high temperature sensor HT-300 in use with Ti-6Al-4V powder material will be shown.

This webinar aired on June 3, 2022 @ 11:00AM GMT-3.
