C-Therm and SciMed are excited to announce a new partnership bringing leading thermal conductivity testing solutions to engineers, researchers, and manufacturers across the UK. C-Therm is a global leader in transient thermal conductivity and effusivity instrumentation, trusted for rapid, accurate material characterization in R&D and quality control. SciMed is a long established supplier of scientific and process instrumentation, known for technical expertise and local support across a wide range of industries.
In this launch webinar, you will learn how C-Therm’s Trident platform, delivered and supported by SciMed, helps teams generate reliable thermal data to make better material and design decisions.
Learn More About Transient Thermal Conductivity Testing
This session will introduce C-Therm’s Trident, a transient thermal conductivity testing instrument. We will discuss the advantages of transient thermal conductivity testing including the ability for rapid test times, ease of use, versatility in terms of sample requirements and the ability to test under representative testing conditions including temperature, pressure and humidity. C-Therm’s Trident can be equipped with 4 sensors:
- Modified Transient Plane Source (MTPS): Suitable for testing solids, liquids, powders and pastes.
Conforms to D7984 - Flex Transient Plane Source (TPS): Suitable for testing bulk, slab, thin film and anisotropic solids.
Conforms to ISO 22007-2, GB?T 32064, ASTM E3088-25 - Transient Line Source (TLS): Suitable for testing granular materials, powders, polymer melts, soils, slurries, gels and pastes.
Conforms to ASTM D5334, ASTM D5930 - Transient Hot Wire (THW): Suitable for testing liquids gels and powders.
Conforms to ASTM D7896-19
This webinar will air on February 5, 2026 10:00 am GMT-4.
