C-Therm Relaunches Application for Travel Bursary 2025

For Immediate Release – May 2025

Applications have reopened for C-Therm’s annual travel bursary for students pursuing studies in thermal conductivity analysis wishing to present at an academic conference.

Adam Harris, CEO of C-Therm Technologies Ltd. announced a call for applications for the annual travel bursary for students pursuing work in the field of thermal conductivity analysis. Harris commented, “it is important to financially support our emerging scientists in the field of thermal conductivity analysis by providing them opportunities to network and share their work.”

The program is open to all students affiliated with an accredited post-secondary institution (priority give to Masters and Ph.D. students) located in North America.  The travel bursaries provide up to $1,200 in travel reimbursement to those approved, capped at 75% of costs.  Eligible costs include conference registration, air fare, mileage, hotel and meals.  Students must be presenting a paper, poster or leading a technical discussion on their work in thermal conductivity analysis to be eligible for the program (must include data collected with a C-Therm thermal conductivity instrument).  The program allows for flexibility in the selection of the student’s desired conference but is subject to C-Therm’s approval.

Interested applicants can submit their application via email to emma.mattinson@ctherm.com. Applications should include:

  • Statement of interest from applicant.
  • Conference of interest.
  • Abstract of work to be presented.
  • Travel budget.
  • Letter of support from a faculty member or manager supervising the research.

Any financial support is dependent on C-Therm’s prior written approval and C-Therm reserves the right to revoke sponsorship for non-performance of duties or any behaviour reflecting poorly on the organization. Recognition of C-Therm’s contribution in sponsoring presentation of the work is to be made with placement of the C-Therm Logo in presentation or otherwise referenced.

The program allows for flexibility in the selection of the student’s desired conference, but a few examples are listed below:
