This document highlights the use of the C-Therm's Transient Plane Source (TPS) Thin Films Utility to characterize thin acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive films for EV battery module thermal management, in accordance with ISO 22007-2.

Battery modules in electric vehicles rely on thermal management systems to maintain safe operating temperatures during charging, discharging, and thermal runaway events. Adhesive films play an important role in these assemblies, bonding battery pouch cells together while also influencing the rate at which heat can move through the module. Whether a film acts as a thermal conductor or a thermal barrier, its thermal conductivity directly affects the pack's ability to distribute and dissipate heat, and by extension, cell longevity and safety.
